There is no benefit in security
The exact sentence should read "we never see the benefits of security", and this one is probably correct. As a matter of fact, the benefit of security does not appear as a gain, but rather as a "non-loss".
On the other hand, this loss may be tremendous, being in terms of direct financial loss, bad company image, lost opportunities, deceived customers, etc. It is true: you never see security… until things go wrong.
